Speech and language therapy sessions – group and individual
Our preschool organises group speech and language therapy sessions for children who need support with their speech development.
The preschool years are a crucial stage in speech development, which is why it is particularly important to provide early support and address any difficulties. The sessions take place once a week and are structured around free play.
During the sessions, the children carry out articulation, breathing and listening exercises, develop their phonemic awareness and improve their speech apparatus. All activities are adapted to individual needs in order to effectively support the proper development of speech.
English
Exposure to a foreign language from a very young age is an important part of a child’s development. It is during the pre-school years that children find it easiest to pick up new words and phrases.
At HAPPY Preschool, English lessons take place twice a week in all groups. Learning is based on play, movement and music, enabling children to naturally pick up vocabulary and songs in English.
The lessons make use of educational materials in English and are led by a qualified teacher and a native speaker.
Rhythm classes
Rhythm classes take place twice a week and help develop children’s aural skills and musical memory through playful activities involving rhythm.
Children are introduced to musical instruments, learn songs and dances, and, through the combination of movement and music, develop their concentration and motor skills. The sessions also encourage the expression of emotions, help shape their personalities and build their self-esteem.
Psychological support
All children at the HAPPY Preschool are looked after by a psychologist. Through observation and collaboration with teachers, it is possible to identify developmental difficulties at an early stage and put appropriate support in place.
The sessions help children cope with emotional, social and behavioural challenges. They incorporate, amongst other things, elements of fairy-tale therapy, relaxation techniques and psychomotor exercises.
Sessions take place once a week and are conducted either individually or in groups, depending on the children’s needs.
Corrective gymnastics
Corrective gymnastics at our nursery combines exercise, health and fun. During the sessions, the children strengthen their muscles, develop good posture and improve their coordination and physical fitness.
The programme is adapted to the children’s age and individual needs, and sessions take place in a safe and friendly atmosphere. It provides effective support in ensuring the child’s healthy development and correct posture.
